the.points.is. is a unique news agency with a goal: go back to the roots of journalism. In this world of 30-second news, there is no such thing as feature story to look at and maybe understand the society we live in. the.point.is. will not only tell you about it. It will also show it to you, because we believe in a close interaction between texts and pictures. We focus on the United States. But we go beyond that. In 2006, we covered the presidential elections in Haiti and Venezuela and we will do in-depth stories on countries of the Western hemisphere. the.point.is. believes in networking and in the coming months, we will publish stories by other journalists from around the world. We believe in surprising angles that go the heart of the story. And we believe in serious journalism. Our norm is to provide to news outlets finished products with a point and an idea.
