Synopsis
Monday May 7 2007, first stop in Houston to meet a cowboy and a young country singer at the Houston Rodeo.Texas is a cowboy country. This image lives on and is celebrated each year by Texans proud of their roots during the Houston rodeo, the largest rodeo in the world. For two weeks, the best cowboys in the US compete in a 70 000-seat arena.
Bradley Harter, 25, (photo jean-cosme delaloye) is a young cowboy from the Dallas area. He could be described as a traditional Texan. He is Christian, friendly, independent. His life as a professional cowboy involves a lot of driving throughout the US. At each rodeo, Bradley is aiming for the few seconds of glory that will pay for his trips.
The Houston Rodeo is also the largest livestock exhibition in the world. One afternoon, hundreds of young Texans showed their cattle. Among them was MacKenzie Fletcher, a 14-year old girl from San Antonio who dreams of becoming a country singer.
